Small business. Simple digital products.

Small tools.
For everyday
tasks.

chri. is a small business preparing simple digital products that help with everyday tasks. Right now, we're working on a forestry app for organizing field notes and observations.

What’s our goal right now?

Our current focus: a forestry app.

A forestry app in planning

Field notes.
In one place.

We're planning an app to help keep forest observations, locations, and follow-up notes together. We're still deciding what it needs to do.

Take a look at the idea

An imagined workflow · concept only

Start with a field note.

Imagine recording a tree observation, a location, and a few notes while out in the forest. This is one possible starting point to explore.

What we're working toward.

Small products, built one step at a time

01 /

design.

Planning clear, simple screens that make small tasks easier to understand.

What I'm exploring

We're exploring layouts and wording that help people understand a product and find what they need.

02 /

build.

Starting with the forestry app idea and learning how to turn it into a useful product.

One step at a time

Chris, the person behind chri., is learning to code. The next step is to build coding skills and test small parts of the idea before attempting a prototype.

03 /

grow.

Over time, we plan to offer a small range of practical digital products.

The bigger picture

We're starting small. The forestry app is our current focus; other products may follow as we learn what people need.

Our goal right now

Keep field notes
together.

The idea is simple: make it easier to find and review notes after a forest visit.

We're exploring a place for observations, locations, and follow-up notes. These are proposed features, and we want to hear from people in the field before deciding what to build.

Who we want to hear from
  • Forestry students
  • People collecting field notes
  • Small field teams

Before building, listen.

01

What do you record?

The details worth keeping, and the tools you use today.

02

What's hard to find later?

Notes, locations, photos, or the context behind an observation.

03

What would make a difference?

A small improvement that would actually help in the field.

An example of the idea

A visit and its notes.
Easy to review.

This sample shows how a visit and its notes might look. Choose Visit A or Visit B to explore the example.

This is an illustrative layout with fictional notes. The tool itself is still in concept and planning.

What happens next.

Concept stage · no launch date yet

  1. 01 / NowCurrent stage

    Plan the app.

Define the problem the forestry app should solve while Chris continues learning to code.

  2. 02 / Next

Talk to people in the field.

Learn how people keep field notes today and sketch a simple approach based on their feedback.

  3. 03 / Later

    Test a first version.

If the idea looks useful, work toward a small prototype and ask for feedback. There is no launch date yet.

Can I use or buy the app now?

Not yet. The forestry app is in concept and planning, and this website does not currently offer a paid product or subscription. The sample notebook is only an illustration.

How can I check that an offer really comes from chri.?

Start here at chri.cloud and contact hello@chri.cloud to confirm an offer before paying. If a message seems unusual or pressures you to act quickly, ask us about it first.
